Phyllis Brown of Rushton Spencer
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis Brown, who died in Northampton General Hospital on 9th September 2026, aged 83 years. Phyllis was a dedicated wife to Frank, mother to Rachel, Sarah and Will, grandmother to Charlie, Wren, Tom, George and Katy, neighbour and friend. Her efforts and presence in the community in Rushton, Swythamley and other local areas will be deeply missed.
Funeral service and interment of ashes to take place at St Lawrence Church, Rushton Spencer, on Friday 30th October at 1pm. Will friends wishing to attend kindly meet at the church.

Charles Anthony "Tony" goldstraw of Milton and formerly of Leek
Peacefully passed away on September 7th 2026 at his home in Milton (formerly of Leek). Ex F. Bode & Sons employee, Charles Anthony (Tony) aged 84 years. The dearly loved and loving husband of Jean.
The funeral will take place at 2pm on Monday 19th October 2026 at Carmountside Crematorium.

Paul’s funeral will take place on Monday October 19th, Service at St Edward’s Church, Cheddleton at 10.30am, prior to private cremation.

Mary Ratcliff of Leek
Mary Ratcliff, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on 2nd October 2026. Wife to the late Alfred senior, loving mum to Alf Junior, mother in law to Anne. Proud Nan to Thea and Faith.
Funeral on Friday 30th October at 11am at St. Mary’s Church, Compton, Leek, followed by a cremation service at Carmountside. We kindly request that guests avoid wearing solid black and instead wear bright colours to celebrate Mary’s life.

Peacefully at rest on 22nd September 2026 at St. Catherine’s Nursing Home, Nantwich with his family by his side. Phil aged 85 years of Ipstones. The devoted husband of the late Lesley, a dearly loved dad to Heather, Michael and Andrew, a cherished father-in-law, grandad and great-grandad and a dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.

The beloved wife of Edward Turner, a much loved Mum, Gran, Great Gran; dear Cousin and Aunt and a good Neighbour, Friend of and Teacher to many in the Consall and Wetley Rocks communities.
